Two in the Pink, One in the Drink

The Pink AdobeDragons still exist If there’s one thing the world has learned from Antiques
Roadshow, it’s that you’re never supposed to refinish precious old things, no
matter how nasty they look. One coat of amateur varnish on that 18th
Century Hepplewhite end table and it’s curtains for cash value. On the other
hand, sometimes it’s more important that something work right than retain its
charm. How that scale is measured regarding the recent purchase, renovation and
food & wine revamp at the Pink Adobe is the same fundamental juggle of
factors: nostalgia versus performance.
Diligent Burrito
11 July 2007 - 11:27pm — Aurelio KlineThere are three things that I'm definitely, finally, forever, over this year: My childhood crush on Renelle Belloc, the dream that a democratic presidential candidate will ever be an orator with backbone and vision, and short, fat breakfast burritos that I can barely get my hands around and which would sooner spill out the side of their own wrappings than sidle into my mouth.
